4/27/2015 11:15:39 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 27: After formation of coalition government in the J&K, opposition Congress party has hijacked discrimination agenda of the BJP because party has started vociferously taken by the issue of ignoring Jammu and Ladakh regions.
Within three months after losing power in J&K, the Congress Party has started playing BJP to take on Saffron Party by its (BJP's) own weapon. Discrimination was the issue on which the BJP has managed to create history in politics of J&K by winning all time high 25 assembly seats but now the Congress has started targeting BJP on same ammunitions. Discrimination is always an issue in Jammu and Ladakh regions so it is the best way to exploit sentiments of the people.
After loudly taking up AIIMS issue, the Congress Party has now started focussing on Ladakh area to highlight discrimination.
Congress Legislature Party leader Nawang Rigzin Jora, who remained minister for 12 long years, today lambasted state government for its failure to recommend Leh to be developed as smart city. He said that like others city Leh also deserved to be included in the list of Smart Cities.
Nobody can deny the fact that apart from the two capital cities of Srinagar and Jammu, Leh is the third most important city of the State, he said.
While welcoming inclusion of Anantnag and Katra for the smart city project , despite not fulfilling criteria
laid down , through relaxation citing religious significance of the cities , surely , same could have done for Leh for its importance from the perspective of tourism and historical significance, he said.
