SAMBA, Apr 27 : Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Samba today, organized Inter School District Level Badminton Championship at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School, Samba.
All the five zones participated in the tournament with around 21 participants from all over the district. The Tournament was inaugurated by the District Officer Subash Chander and Narinder Singh (Vice Chairman of the Tournament), Principal of the School. All the ZEPO's of District Samba including Vijay Singh, Rakesh Kumari, Raghubir Singh and Pardeep Singh were present on the occasion. The championship was held under the guidance of Director General DYSSO J&K Naveen Aggarwal (IPS). Principal while addressing the participants advised the students to give more stress on the games as the games are also necessary for the development of student. Results of the Tournament were as in Single Final U-17, Played between M. V. International (Abhishek Sharma) V/s APS B. D. Bari (Saransh), APS B. D. Bari (Saransh) won by 2 - 0 sets. In Single Final U-14, played between Calvary Mission High School Ghagwal (Ritesh Sharma) and APS B. D. Bari (Nishkarash Saini), APS B. D. Bari (Nishkarash Saini), defeated CMHS by 2 - 0 sets. In Double Final U-17, played between M. V. International (Pritam Thappa and Abhishek Sharma) V/s APS B. D. Bari (Amritya Khajuria and Aditya Khajuria). APS B. D. Bari (Amritya Khajuria and Aditya Khajuria) won the match by 2 - 0 sets. In Double Final U-14, played between M. V. International (Atish Slathia and Vishav Sharma) V/s APS B. D. Bari (Nishkarash Saini and Nirbhay Saini). APS B. D. Bari (Nishkarash Saini and Nirbhay Saini) registered victory by 2 - 0 sets. The official present on occasion included, Convener of the game, Ravi Kumar Mathur and other included Anirudh Singh Slathia, Raj Singh Chib, I/c Activity Rekha, Kulbir Singh, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Hardeep Singh, Dalbir Singh, Randhir Singh, Sanjay Singh, Ravi Singh, Suman Raj Singh (APS Coach), and Taranjit Singh (M.
