JAMMU, Apr 27: Continuing the agitation against the new recruitment policy by terming the new recruitment policy as "Anti-Youth", the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) Jammu & Kashmir today started signature campaign against the new recruitment policy. The NSUI activists under the leadership of Neeraj Kundan State president NSUI J&K aggressively conducted the campaign in Jammu University campus, the students participated in the campaign with enthusiasm and totally opposed the policy made by J&K govt.
Shahnawaz Choudhary Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary. jammu and Kashmir also take part in the campaign and raised queries on the objectives and viability of the ordinance envisaging recruitment at district levels on contractual basis for seven years. "The services of persons appointed on contractual basis under the new recruitment policy are to be regularised after putting in seven years of "satisfactory service". This give rise to corruption at extreme heights." He added.
Speaking on the occasion Kundan said NSUI is agreed by the decision taken by Governor on returning the ordinance of new recruitment policy that is made behind closed doors without any proper consultations with youths and all the procedure for selection process has also been changed, now District development Commissioner (DDC) is authenticated for new recruitments even for gazetted posts, new recruitment policy have caused frustration among the youth and leave them in lurch as politicisation of jobs will result large scale corruption and nepotism.
He added that instead of generating employability and ensures recruitment to large number of vacancies through fast track process; the coalition government is "sprinkling salt on the wounds of stakeholders". He added that such policy have made youth upset to seek job in J&K and thus they prefer to go outside the J&K in search of Job thus weakens our state, that is why NSUI have organised signature campaign against it and warned government to revoke it otherwise NSUI will gear up the agitation state wide and govt. will be responsible for further happening.
Prominent NSUI activists who played keen role in the campaign included Sunny parihar District President NSUI jammu, Ajay kumar National Delegate NSUI, Avijot Singh State Gen secretary ,Nishant Gupta state secretary and others.
