BJP ministers directed stay active, learn from bureaucracy
7/7/2015 12:27:28 AM

Early Times Report
jammu, July 6: The central BJP leadership has asked the party's ministers in the J&K to be more active in policy making. The central leadership has told the ministers that they should develop vision for development of the Jammu and the State and get knowledge of the developmental schemes and programmes.
According to the sources the bureaucracy has also been directed to guide the ministers in analyzing the plans and keep an eye that these are equally distributed.
"The PM wants the bureaucracy to work as a team with the ministers. But in J&K he wants that bureaucracy should act a guide also as the ministers themselves are first time entrant and more than that they don't have any knowledge of the plans," said the senior BJP leader, wishing not to be identified.
According the sources the central leadership has reports of the working of the BJP and is not impressed with them.
'Though, there are not corruption charges so far but we have come to change the system and work in an equitable manner. It still seems that Kashmir centric bureaucracy and a section of the leadership has a vision confined to Kashmir only. The BJP ministers neither have the knowledge nor a will to understand the things. Though the CM is trying to ensure that Jammu gets its rightful place but its primarly the job of the BJP and they need to pull up their socks till it becomes too late to be corrected," said the leader .
These are some of the major points which will also be discussed in the meeting called by the BJP president Amit Shah in the Delhi with the team of the J&K. The reason Shah is very particular about good governance in the J&K is that if the party's report of effective governance in the Muslim majority state becomes the talking point especially in the media, then it could be played well in the coming Bihar elections where Muslims have a sizeable population and party needs their vote much more than anywhere else.
