Early Times Report
kishtwar, July 29: In a sharp contrast of the allegations that traffic authorities are mute spectator to the overloading, the school students coming from Bandrina, Poohi, Hullar and adjoining areas today held a protest at Dak Bunglow Chowk Kishtwar after ARTO Kishtwar seized the documents of overloaded mini bus in which these school going kids are going to their schools.
As per the details available with "Early Times" after noticing the some students hanging from the door and on back of the mini bus, ARTO Kishtwar stopped the mini bus.
Taking cognizance in the matter, ARTO Kishtwar seized the documents of said vehicle and directed the driver of vehicle to report in his office after dropping the school kids. Meanwhile he also de-boarded the students from minibus who were hanging around the door and sought some time from the students to arrange another vehicle for them, reports added.
As ARTO Kishtwar was busy in arranging alternative vehicle for the students, the driver of the minibus allegedly provoked the children with the threat that he will not lift them for school in future.
The police officials said that after provocation by the driver of the minibus, the students blocked the road outside Dak Bungalow Kishtwar for half hour before senior police officials also rushed to the spot and pacified the protesting students.
While talking to "Early Times" senior police officials said that they are examining the matter and will lodge an FIR against the erring driver for putting the lives of innocent school going kids to risk.
