JKCA announces Ranji, U-19 squads

JAMMU, Sept 30: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) today officially announced the already named Ranji Trophy and under-19 teams by the penal of selectors for the upcoming season at Srinagar. The 17-member Ranji squad is led by experienced Mithun Manhas, who has made a comeback to the state after playing cricket at the top level representing Delhi District Cricket Association. The strong side of J&K shall take on Kerela in the Ranji opener schedule to take place at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar tomorrow.
"The visiting side of Kerela reached the venue well in advance and ever since attending to the nets sessions regularly. Earlier, the visiting chief curator appreciated the efforts of the association for having done a 'commendable' job of restoring the glory of the grounds at Srinagar as well as at Jammu," general secretary of the JKCA, Iqbal Ahmad Shah said.
Meanwhile, the JKCA also announced its under-19 squad for limited over games being hosted by Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) at Patiala. The team has left for the venue.
The Teams:
Ranji Trophy: Mithun Manhas, Parveez Rasool, Ian Dev Singh, Waseem Raza, Ram Dayal, Sameer Ali, Adil Reshi, Deepak Manhas, Zahoor Sofi, Bandeep Singh, Mohammad Mudhasir, Rohit Sharma, Amir Sofi, Paras Sharma, Shubham Khajuria, Samad Bhat and Umar Nazir.
Under-19: Shubham Singh Pundir, Momin Mansoor, Danish Yusuf Bhat, Mohammad Hazik, Lone Nazir, Tahsin Dar, Shahbaz Ali, Majid Yousuf, Taizeem Younis Tak, Inayat Ullah, Nipun Verma, Abhishek Khajuria, Shantanu Gupta, Tribhuvan Singh Sambyal, Vikas Bhat, Aman Sharma and Jagandeep Singh.
