Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 30: As a part of Community Services and also keeping in view the forthcoming Gandhi Jayanti, students of Electrical and Civil Engineering branches of Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) today visited Mother Teresa Home here. The students were accompanied with faculty members and departmental coordinators. In line with the cherished ideology of humanity and universal brotherhood as envisaged by great saint Paramhansa Yogananda, the students reached out to the inmates of the Mother Teresa Homes having mentally and physically challenged people. They spent quality time with them to bring cheer on their faces. The students also distributed essential commodities of daily use to them as a mark of social contribution. The inmates were greatly touched by humanitarian gesture. Dr Seema Narain, Director, YCET, encouraged the budding engineers to be conscious of the social realities confronting the society and show selfless love, benevolent care and compassion for the poor, helpless, aged, infirm and the needy. |
