JAMMU, Sept 30: As a part of weeklong clean Jammu City Abhiyan to mark the 1st Anniversary of "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan", on 5th day in a row organized a programme in collaboration with Apsra Road Traders Association at Apsra Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. On the occasion the rally was flagged off by Shamsher Singh Manhas Member Parliament, Yudhvir Sethi Chairman Sanathan Dharam Natak Samaj and by Mandeep Kaur, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation in the presence of Rakesh Gupta President Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Amit Jandyal President Apsara Road Traders Association alongwith office bearers and other Prominent Citizens comprising of Students. The rally started from Apsara Road, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and after passing through the main lanes, streets and Gole Market culminated back at Apsara Road, Jammu. First of all an oath was administered for cleanliness, wherein, it was pledged by all to keep the environment neat and clean and to spare 100 hours every year to dedicate himself/herself for doing the cleanliness and hoped that this step would lead to make India clean. Thereafter, the short plays were staged by the Grameen Lok Dugar Manch and Students of Shastri Memorial Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School Anand Nagar Bohri, Jammu by giving message to keep the surrounding neat and clean and highlighted the importance of cleanliness. |
