Early Times Report Vijaypur, Sept 30: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today criticized ruling alliance partner Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) for creating law and order problem in Jammu and Kashmir in view of violation of High Court orders in Kashmir. Issuing a statement, JKPCC general secretary Manjit Singh said "BJP which earlier claimed to be the champion of Jammu has failed to keep its promise and even compromised promise which the party had made with the people". He said the court orders were violated publically with the alleged involvement of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. The closing of internet services in the State was part of it due to which they tried to hide their acts from the people, he added. Referring to increased tax on chopper services, he said under a well hatched conspiracy some people don't want pilgrimage in Katra at the Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi. He said with this intention, tax was imposed on Chopper services to cut short pilgrimage in the holly place. "On both the issues, BJP compromised and did not speak out against the imposition of tax which was an injustice with the pilgrims," he added. While speaking on border issues and refugees concern, he said, the ruling BJP has forget the refugees who were promised of settlement during the election rallies. |
