Jammu, Sept 30: The hunger strike of Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association comprising of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, Assam Rifles, Veer Naris and dependants against the discrimination and injustice inflicted upon them by the Central Government by denying them benefit of OROP, entered 20th day. Protestors said, they all are the sons of Indian soil. Some joined Armed Forces and some joined Paramilitary Forces. Both have been created under provision of Constitution of India and both are defending the Indian borders and its integrity and sovereignty then why the discrimination is being done on OROP. They said that they are apprising the Bihar veterans of Ex-Paramilitary Forces of this situation of neglecting them on OROP, MSP and Grade Pay and making them to boycott the BJP in State elections, as the Saffron party took U turn on all the promises after win in Lok Sabha elections. They further added the Director Generals of Paramilitary Forces have ceased to see, listen and think about the difficulties and problems being faced by the retirees, widows and dependents of Paramilitary Forces, as this lot is struggling since long but nobody is there to take care of these unfortunate braves of yester years. |
