Jammu, Sept 30: Various students, agricultural and social organizations called on National President, Narendra Modi Vichar Manch (NMVM), Dr. Rekha Singh Gurjar here today and highlighted their grievances. Partap Singh Jamwal, State Secy. Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Deepak Raj Panday (Distt. Gen. Secy. BJYM) & Nikhil Sharma led these delegations. Prominent delegations comprised of Mansar-Surinsar Development Forum, Engineering Students Association and farmers association of village Marh. The office bearers of the Mansar-Surinsar Development Forum told the NMVM President that despite having huge tourism potential in Mansar and Surinsar areas, government is not paying any heed to tap this potential. They said the incumbent government is focusing more on the tourism projects of Kashmir valley and overlooking the Jammu province. The PM Special Scholarship Scheme aggrieved students apprised Gurjar about the duping of Jammu and Kashmir students by the AICTE Director, J&K Cell, Mr. Rathore under the PMSS Scheme. They said after due verification of all their documents by the AICTE team, they didn't get admissions in the allotted colleges across the country as; most of the college authorities refuse to entertain the Union Government Scheme. Farmers of Marh area held threadbare discussion on the issues pertaining to 'soil testing'. They said they are not being provided any facility in the rural belt of the Jammu District for the testing of soils owing to which the production rate in these areas is not satisfactory. Gurjar paid patient hearing to the demands highlighted by the delegation members and assured that she will take up all the issues with the state government and other concerned departments for their immediate redressal.
