Once groomed by it, Omar spreads canards about RSS | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 2: Opposition National Conference, in its desperate bid to defame and destabilize the PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State, is consistently hitting out at the RSS, which is however proving counter productive for it. Former Chief Minister and National Conference president Omar Abdullah, in his peculiar habit of reacting to media reports, without checking or without getting the proper perspective, has done it again. Reacting the interview of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed given to a national daily, Omar has started spreading false propaganda that State's capital has shifted to Nagpur, the headquarters of the RSS, and also criticized Mufti for saying that PM gets feedback from the RSS. Omar, who was once groomed by the RSS, is now believing that by hitting out at the RSS, he can create an atmosphere on distorted facts where people will tend to believe that PDP has made greatest blunder by aligning with the BJP. Finance Minister Hasseb Drabu recently said that an impression is being created that even for the finances of the State, the approval of RSS is needed. "The RSS has taken a strong notice and its core team has now devised a strategy to go all out at the Omar Abdullah, who has got too many chinks in his political and public armour. And he is the most weak candidate to be hit back," said the sources. They said the BJP has planned its strategy and in cooperation with the PDP is going to attack NC and Omar in a very hard manner. "RSS has done great social service and its cadre is highly committed. It has never indulged in communal politics but on nation building. So if it's hit for wrong reasons, it will have repercussions and people will have strong feelings for this organisation," said a senior RSS leader. |
