PM's package, for J&K merely a joke: Jabbar | | | early times report Srinagar, Nov 16: MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar today termed recently announced package by Prime Minister as a mere joke with the people of the Jammu and Kashmir, in general and flood affected in particular. According to press release, he said that road widening from Zakora to Wayil via Beehama and 93 MW new Ganderbal Hydel Project (already approved) which are the most urgent public issues were not unfortunately incorporated in this package. He said such packages are meaning-less until core political issue of J&K is not addressed by taking on board all the stake holders of the issue for its amicable solution. He further said that this coalition Government has failed on all the fronts whether it is tackling of unemployment, development, rise in corruption, severe electricity crisis which is looming large in valley. He further said that in this constituency, most of the transformers are damaged and are lying in the workshops months together for want of repairmen, replacement and receiving station Kurhama is damaged and people of more than twenty villages are without electricity but despite repeated requests to the concerned nothing has matured so far. |
