SVO produces challan against the then ADR Coop Societies Anantnag & others

Jammu, Nov 16: State Vigilance Organzation (SVO) Kashmir today produced challan against accused public servants the then Asst Deputy Registrar (ADR) Cooperative Societies Anantang and three others in the Court of Additional Anti-corruption Judge Anantang Rajive Gupta Additional Session Judge Anantang. The accused however were bailed out while the next date of the case has been fixed on coming Jan 19, 2016.
According to SVO spokesperson the challan was produced against accused Mohammad Abdullah Bhat R/o Samthan Bijebehara, the then Asst Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Anantang, Mohammad Akber Bhat, the then Jr Assistant Office of Registrar Cooperative Societies Anantang and Ghulam Hassan Shah R/o Kadipora, Gujnag, Anchidoora Anantang, the then Challan Clerk in the office of Assistant Director CAPD Anantang booked in a case FIR NO 09/2008 Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir in the Court of Additional Anti-corruption Judge Anantang presided by Rajive Gupta Aditional Session Judge Anantang.
"An instant Case was registered on outcome of a verification conducted into allegations that accused public servants by abuse of their official positions have committed misappropriation of 39 Kilo Litres Kerosene Oil earmarked for various societies of District Anantang for the month of February 2007 at subsidized rate, spokesperson said.
He said that during verification it has been revealed that the same has been deposited with concerned Oil Agencies, in pursuance to a conspiracy hatched between Dy Registrar Co-operative Societies Anantnag Son-ulla Malla and dealing Assistant Mohammad Akbar Bhat thus resulting in conferment of undue pecuniary benefit to the public servants.
The investigation of the case was concluded against accused public servants named above and after the accord of sanction from Government for launching of prosecution against the accused persons, the challan of the case was produced in the Court of Additional Anti-corruption Judge Anantang.
At the time of production of the Challan the accused were present in the court who were released on bail while next date of the case has been fixed on coming Jan 19.
