Jammu, Nov 16 : GB Pant Hospital Cantonment Jammu organized Diabetes week from 16th Nov to 21st Nov 2015 with LUPIN (Diabetes Care). The highlights of camp included free medical check and free blood sugar tests and distribution of free medicines. The camp was inaugurated by Deepak Mohan, CEO Jammu Cantonment and incharge GB Pant Hospital while CEO presented welcome addresses and under lined the role of healthy lifestyle in preventing Diabetes. Dr Gaurav Kesar Diabetic expert, shared that about 65 million people are affected in India and stand 2nd in world for diabetic population. He emphasized that if same situation continues there will be an epidemic of Diabetes in India in 2035. He shared that early Diagnosis and treatment is important in preventing Mortalilty due to Complication of Diabeties. About 100 patients were examined in the camp and given treatment. Others present on Occasion were Dr Rakesh Gandotra, Dr Nirupam Gupta, Dr Mamta Gupta, Dr. Sourav Gupta, Amit Sharma and Alok Mahajan. |
