Temporary teachers hold protest, highlight demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 16 : A massive protest/demonstration was held under the Banner of J&K Temporary Teachers Association (JKTTA)-2014 in support of their demands and also burnt the effigy of state government to register their resentment towards alleged callous approach from government towards their problems. Led by Balwinder Singh Pawar Divisional President Jammu, the protestors assembled at Exhibition Ground Jammu and amid slogans against state government they highlighted their long pending demands. Interacting with media persons Balwinder Singh Pawar who led the protest today alleged that state govt is anti youth and has utterly failed to solve the problem faced by Education youth of the State. "Temporary Teachers are struggling for continuation for their service since March 2015, he said adding, many assurances have been doled to them from government side but till date no progress is seen on the reality grounds. He also mentioned that they (the temporary teachers) also had gone for forty three days long hunger strike in the month of March-April 2015 but again government doled out verbal assurance only. Speaking o the occasion, Bhopinder Choudhary Distt President Samba said that government is playing with the future of educated youth. Speakers warned the government if the authorities fail to take any decision in this regard at earliest they will be left with no option but to intensify their stir.
