Jammu, Nov 16 : Continuing the cleanliness drive, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today conducted a cleanliness drive in Ward No 3 under the direction of JMC, Commissioner, Mandeep Kour. According to press release, the campaign was led by R. S. Jamwal, Joint Commissioner (Adm), JMC along with Dr. Zaffar Iqbal Municipal Veterinary Officer, Talat Mahmood CTO, Sanitation Officer, Assistant Sanitation Officers and other field staff of Municipal Corporation.
During the cleanliness campaign, Rajesh Gupta, incumbent MLA flag off Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Prominent citizens namely Rajinder Gupta, Karan Singh, Daleep Singh, Prof. Sham, Rajiv Bharadwaj, R.C. Gupta, Shashi Sapolia, Hari Om, Rajesh Kumar, Chaman Lal, Raj Kumar were also participated.
During campaign R.S Jamwal Joint Commissioner (A), JMC made an appeal to general public of the area to come forward and help Jammu Municipal Corporation to keep the area neat and clean and also appealed to avoid the use of polythene which is the main cause of choking of drains/nallahs. |
