J&K attains form, makes 501 runs in Ranji
11/26/2015 11:19:16 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: Finally, Jammu and Kashmir attained form and played entertaining cricket to come up to the expectations of the home crowd making 501 runs while chasing Goa total of 552 in the Ranji Trophy Group-C at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
The rise of J&K on home ground after their debacle in the earlier game at the same venue was talk of the town. It was a team effort with every one contributed with bat, barring the openers and tale enders, who could not hold their wickets.
However, the drawn game still earned the visiting Goa side three points for making more runs in the first innings as against one point in favour of J&K.
"The way trio of Ian Dev Singh, Mithun Manhas and Pranav Gupta have played, the team has gained a lot of confidence. Hopefully, the same performance will be repeated in the next game at the same venue," opined a former Ranji cricketer.
