Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: The Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has decided to put down his foot firmly on ideological issues. He has reportedly informed the BJP that PDP will not allow an impression to gain ground that the Government is running on the whims of RSS.
"Mufti has taken a serious view about allegations which are creating a perception that RSS is interfering in the governance and setting its agenda.
He had reportedly told the BJP that he will not allow this perception to gain ground and the party will put his foot down firmly on the ideological issues henceforth," said a senior PDP leader.
According to the sources, a section of the media and commentators, strangely including former national security advisor, have attacked the PDP for forming an alliance with the BJP.
The critics are attacking Mufti with allegations that he has gone too much accommodative just for 'sake of power'.
"The CM has taken these allegations very seriously especially when they come from the person who has been former NSA , the key person in the country, and Mufti Sayeed has now decided to take on these allegations head one," said the leader.
According to the sources, it's for this reason that Mufti Sayeed asked the PM to hold talks with the Pakistan and even hinted at Centre to hold talks with the separatists, though the PM didn't do the same.
"Mufti Sayeed deliberately pointed this out that too at a public rally in Srinagar itself in the presence of the PM. It was not an ordinary thing for the CM to do. But he made a statement that he is ready to lock horns with the PM, when it matters the sensitivities of the Kashmir, and that he is not taking the diction from the PM on the Kashmir affairs," said the PDP leader.
