Restore reservation in promotion : RCSRO

Jammu, Nov 26 : Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Socio Religious Organization (JKRCSRO) today warned coalition government to restore reservation in promotion, otherwise the government will ready to face the wrath of communities which fall under reservation.
According to press release, the organization through their organizational heads, retired employees forums in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Reserve Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA) today criticized the attitude of the state government in a joint press conference.
They threatened the state government if the government failed in restoring the reservation in promotion for the SC/ST/OBC/RBA and ALC categories employees, they would start a mass agitation against verdict announced by high court few month back.
Piran Ditta, President Guru Ravi Dass Sabha said, "If the government will not take this grave issue very seriously or will not take any remedial step to restore the reservation in promotion for the reserved classes, we would be left with no other option but to come on roads and protest against this biased move of the government."
He further said that keeping in view the large population of these communities that constitutes about 60% of total population, government must safeguard their constitutional & just rights otherwise it can prove to be counterproductive for the coalition.
Pertinently, the J&K High Court, in its judgment on October 9, 2015, struck down some sections of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act. The court struck down Section 6 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, and Rules 9, 10 and 34 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules 2005.
Other present in the press conference were, Mandan Banalia, Somdutt, Prabh Dayal, Banarsi Dass, Banarsi Lal, Bhagwan Dass, retired Capt. Joginder Paul, Madan Lal from Akhnoor and many others representing their sabha's & social groups .
