Pulwama, Jan 1: After beef row, two High Court Verdicts have set fire to another controversy over two flag issue with BJP leadership strengthening its Ek Vidhaan Ek Nishaan, NC and Congress are unruly to break High court verdict to wave two flags.
Minutes after Jammu wing of state High Court today hearing public interest litigation (PIL) by one BJP leader stayed one earlier order of Justice Hasnain Masood of Hoisting state flag alongside National flag on constitutional buildings and Vehicles of Ministers, NC and
Congress leaders launched a tirade against BJP leadership over the issue.
Responding to High Court Verdict Omar reached to Twitter and said "Here is what I will say, so long as J&K is a part of India, Two flags will continue to fly and we will take pride in it."
In another Tweet Omar said "Having a state flag accepted and recognized by the constitutions of India and state is not Azadi, Jeez."
"BJP Ministers fly the state and union flags on their cars and attend office in a building flying both flags. wilful disinformation' "why is only JK expected to respect the terms of accession while the rest of the country can disregard them with impunity# two flags will fly"Omar Said in other two Tweets
In reply to a Tweet of News x Channel "#oneindiaoneflag: HC restores one india, says two flags in Kashmrir.EX CM@abdullah_Omar can't stomach, unleashes Twitter tirade." Omar Replied "I'd rather a tirade based on facts than a campaign based on willful ignorance and propaganda." State congress vice President Ghulam Nabi Monga while terming it a conspiracy of BJP to divide people on flag issue allegedly for their Political purposes said that Congress will abide by ruling of state Constitution which advocates for waving state flag alongside national flag at places to maintain special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
"There is no need to make any changes in it, Jammu and Kashmir has its own constitution and thereby a flag as well, we will abide by waving two flags as used to happen, BJP is party of opportunists, they now feeling ignored in public circles have decided to divide people on two flag issue."Monga told Early Times. BJP deputy chief minister, Nirmal Singh as per reports had already
questioned the use of the state flag and had said that no flag could be hoisted at an equal level to the Indian flag and said the matter will be dealt legally.
One BJP MLC terming it as a practical shape to their slogan Ek Vidhaan Ek Nishaan coined by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi told Early Times other day that they are desirous to wave only national flag in Jammu and Kashmir as well like national flag is being hoisted in other parts of country every time. Pertinently a double bench of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court stayed the government order of hoisting the state flag alongside national flag on all government establishments, while in December, last year, a single bench of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court had ordered the state government to hoist the state flag alongside national flag, on all official buildings and vehicles of constitutional authorities.
The order had said, "It is obligatory on every citizen as well as on every constitutional authority to maintain the sanctity of, and respect, the state flag in terms of the constitutional provisions and the Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Insult to State Honours Act, 1979."
After recently streets of Srinagar and Jammu witnessed row over beef issue following two different High court Verdicts, fresh controversy erupted after according to reports Jammu wing of High Court today hearing a PIL filed by former IGP and BJP leader Farooq Khan stayed one earlier order of Kashmir wing of High court.
