Jammu, Jan 15: A police Inspector was today booked for allegedly passing obscene remarks on a lady cop at the district police lines, Udhampur.
Police lodged FIR against the Inspector on the court directions. The accused has been identified as Inspector Javed Ahmed.
As per police sources, the lady constable moved the court after the Inspector allegedly passed obscene remarks on her in full public view. The Inspector passed obscene remarks on the lady cop in the presence of other men in khakhi at DPL, the sources added.
Based on the complaint of the victim, the court directed Udhampur Police Station to book the Inspector under section 294 of RPC. |
