Jammu, Jan 23: Crime Branch Jammu has registered a FIR in fake migration ration card scam. According to the FIR a written complaint lodged by Avtar Krishan Bhat S/o Kanshi Nath Bhat R/o H. No. 195 Lane No. 2B- Om Vihar Vinayak Nagar, Sector-1 Ext. Muthi, Jammu, was received in Crime Branch, Jammu wherein it was alleged that suspects Jai Kishori Koul W/o Late Bhushan Lal Koul A/p H. No. 421 Sec. 2 Vinayak Nagar, Muthi, Jammu, Neetu Koul W/o Avtar Krishan Bhat A/p C/o Govt. Middle School Hawal Tehsil & District Pulwama and Vicky Koul W/o Anil Kumar R/o Chandigarh were living at Jammu much prior to the migration of Kashmiri Pandits and the head of the family Bushan Lal Koul was an employee of MES and thus the family was not entitled to be registered as migrant for the purpose of migrant relief and migrant ration card, but the suspects, in connivance with the officials of the Relief Organization, Jammu managed issuance of forged and fabricated Migrant Ration Card since 1990 despite having a regular ration card already issued by the Zonal officer, relief Organization, Digiana-II Jammu and obtained relief in the shape of kind as well as cash @4000/- per month since then. It was further alleged that in the migrant ration card, in place of the photograph of Bhushan Lal Koul being the head of the family, the photograph of one Rajesh, an employee of the Relief Organization was affixed therefore, the matter may be investigated. On receipt of this complaint a Preliminary Verification was initiated in the Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of verification found the allegations to be true. Crime Branch after thorough investigation found that the omissions and commissions, therefore, on the part of Jai Kishori Koul Wd/o Late Bhushan Lal Koul A/p H. No. 421 Sec. 2 Vinayak Nagar, Muthi, Jammu and officers/officials of the Migrant Zone Bari Brahmna/Relief Organization, Jammu , prima facie, constitute offences punishable u/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC and register a case.
