Samba, Jan 23: An awareness camp was organized on social welfare schemes like Aasra, Ladli Beti, Marriage Assistance to poor girls and Hunar at Village Diani Samba by District Social welfare officer Mushtaq Choudhary and CDPO Samba Dr Deepak Kumar. The programme was attended by officials of social welfare department, panchayat representatives, anganwadi workers , helpers , local representatives and residents. The participants were briefed about these schemes and were asked to provide information to get the benefit out of them.
Officials further said that Aasra provides insurance cover to the poor persons having income less than Rs 75000 annually in the age group 18 to 50 years and 18 to 70 years and the premium of this insurance cover shall be borne by DSWO, laadli beti provides financial assistance to the new born baby girls of poor parents having annual income less than Rs 75000.Marriage assistance scheme provides financial assistance to the identified poor girls getting married and Hunar provides training in different schemes for the poor girls. |
