Jammu, Feb 7: The direction of the Governor NN Vohra to detach the teachers and masters from all the offices has put the Education Department in a tight spot as department has no available posts for the teachers who were detached.
The aggrieved masters, in order to express resentment have taken to social media and have put forth their grievances on facebook. "Amazingly relieved masters were adjusted on non-available posts. They have been sent to Bishnah High Secondary School, zonal offices, Gandhi Nagar zone, Govt School at Jammu Railway Station, besides others, but from which head their salary would be drawn is a million dollar question", an aggrieved master has written on the Facebook.
"I personally request all of you to tag and share this message, so that it may reach His Excellency (Governor N N Vohra) so that he comes to know about our hardships. Teaching community is always blamed for not preforming their duties. How can the community work under the stressful conditions" states a FB post.
"Surprisingly, surplus masters, who were repatriated after providing their services in remote areas of other districts, were targeted. These masters were adjusted in a haphazard manner as to get the praises of his excellency. These masters were adjusted in the places where there is no post. In most cases the order reads as," Adjusted against available vacancy". But actually, there is no vacancy, or even there is no sanctioned post of master in the particular institute which has put the masters in mental and financial harassment as they will have to beg for their salaries", another comment on facebook.
Meanwhile informed sources said that education department is grappling with the shortage of available vacancies as ten masters are still attached with the office of Director Education Jammu, twenty nine are with office of CEO Jammu while hundred others are still attached with the DC's Offices, Office of Tehsildars, Chief Education Officer`s Office, Zonal Education Officer`s Offices and many more offices which so ever is utilizing the duties of teaching community for non-teaching purposes.
However, CEO Jammu J.K Sudan when contacted, admitted masters grievances and said that he has no posts where relieved masters could be adjusted, adding efforts are on to set the matter right. |
