Jammu, Apr 18: It can happen either in Bihar or in J&K. A man has completed engineering degree in just nine months, instead of the mandatory four years.
According to documents available with Early Times,aJunior Engineer was elevated as Assistant Engineer in PHE department on basis of fake degree from a Tamil Nadu-based deemed university.
"Ajaz Ahmed Mir, son of Mohammad Rafiq Mir, resident of ward no 8, Rajouri was appointed as Junior Engineer Degree Holder in the year 2008 date July 14, 2008 and falling in the tentative seniority list no 590 vide govt circular no. 01-PHE, I&FC (Hyd) of 2016 dated February 25, 2016 had possessed a fake degree", the documents read.
The documents reveal that the law enforcing agencies have proved that the engineer possesses fake degree.
In the light of correspondence Directorate of Distance Education Vinayaka Mission University Tamil Nadu has intimated that, "It is inform you that registration no T5937A0083 is of Ajaz Ahmed son of Mohd Rafiq DOD 1/12/1973 Programme B.E Civil. But the Folio no. 110126, shows that it is a marksheet of S. Papistavsanthi D/O A. Selvaraj, for C.N.A Programme dated 19.12.2006", copy of investigation conducted Range Police Headquarters Rajouri,no Clt/153438-40 dated January 10,2015 addressed the Commissioner of Vigilance read.
The investigation further read that it was clarify that the officer had produced the fake degree of Programme B.E Civil.
"After completion of 0the verification the Deputy Inspector General of Police as directed SSP Rajouri for registration of case against Ajaz Ahmed JE, but being influential no action has been taken against as yet inspite of all relevant verification records", sources said.
"Whereas, the University of Kashmir vide their letter no F (verification)Acad/KU/2010 dated January 2010, addressed to the General Administration Department, had also clarified that the degree obtained through distance mode in Engineering cannot be considered equal to the correspondence degrees obtained their regular mode", Govt order no 54-PW (Hyd) of 2015 read.
However, sources alleged that the Nisar Ahmed Khan XeN PHE Rajouri, Superintending Engineer Rajouri Mohd Rafiq Khan are defending the Engineer and releasing his salary despite the fact provided by Police. |
