Tampering of revenue records: Cabinet Minister influencing admin to hush up matter 4/19/2016 12:13:51 AM Early Times Report Jammu, April 18: In the backdrop of preliminary investigation being conducted by Vigilance Organization against alleged change of revenue records, efforts are reportedly on by a Cabinet Minister to influence the district administration of Samba to halt the submission of report to the Vigilance which clearly indicates the tampering of revenue records. Sources claimed that the complainant lodged complaint with the Vigilance Organization following with the inquiry was initiated by the Vigilance and a letter was written to the district administration of Samba district for submission of report after detailed inquiry of the revenue record. Following the inquiry conducted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vijaypur a detailed report was submitted to Additional Deputy Commissioner (DVO) on 25-03-2016 but the same was not referred to the Vigilance organization allegedly to save the accused. Sources claimed that a Cabinet Minister has influenced the district administration of Samba District to hush up the matter at any cost. The report submitted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vijaypur under number DCS/DVO/68/15-16/ 554-557 dated 17-02-2015 regarding complaint against one Suresh Kumar and Girdhari Lal both sons of Chuni Lal of Birpur Samba for changing land record of the complainant in favour of suspect with the connivance of Revenue authorities, Tehsildar Bari Brahmana conducted detailed enquiry in the matter and submitted report vide No. TBB/OQ/201S-16/1375 dated 03.03.2016. Copy of report in the possession of Early Times reads that mutation No. 1640 (Part Sarkar) situated at village Birpur Tehsil Bari Brahmana under Section 4 AR Act. 1976 is found set aside on 30.09 1986 by the Naib Tehsildar Bari Brahmana and same mutation (part Patwar) is stand attested on 30-09-1986 by the competent authority.
