JAMMU, Apr 18 : The NMCC today qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing J&K Premier League Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, here. In the quarterfinals, NMCC out played JCC by six wickets. Batting first, after NMCC won the toss and opted to field, JCC made 128 runs. Paras Sharma and Rajeev were top scorers with 27 and 21 runs respectively. Surya contributed 17 runs to the total. From NMCC, Abhinav took three wickets, followed by Vishu, Amit, Rohit and Sandy, who shared apiece each. In reply, NMCC chased the total making 131 runs in 13.3 overs. Tarun played unbeaten innings of 32 runs, followed by Vishu and Bobby, who added 31 and 23 runs respectively. Vivek claimed two wickets while Rohit and Shubham took one each from JCC. For his all round performance of three wickets and 21 runs, Abhinav was declared man of the match. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, RCC trounced KC Sports Club by nine wickets. Puneet took the match away single-handedly making playing unbeaten innings of 77 while Parveen added 34 runs. The only wicket lost by RCC was claimed by Hishan. Earlier, batting first, KCSC scored 122 runs losing all their wickets in 19.4 overs. Hisham (33), Arjun Choudhary (26) and Abhishant (20) were main scorers. From RCC, Satish claimed three wickets and Prafull and Maqsood bagged took two each. |
