Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 03 held | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 18: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling with the arrest of three bovine smugglers and rescue of fifteen (15) bovine animals from their clutches whioch were being smuggled to valley. The accused have been identified as Khalil Ahmed of Surankote, Poonch, Mohd Bashir of Arnas, Reasi and Zulafkar Ahmed of Surankot, Poonch. Police spokesman said, " on reliable information, Police team from Nagrota Police Station headed by HC Subash Chander, under Operation Kamdhenu launched by Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu laid a naka at Toll Palaza NHW Nagrota and intercepted three smugglers and rescued 15 bovine animals loaded in a truck bearing regd no JK02AF 5369. The accused were arrested after they failed to produce any document for inter district transportation/permission. Police have registered a case under FIR No 39/2016 u/s 188 of RPC 3/5 PC Act at Police Station Nagrota against the accused and further investigations are on. |
