rajouri, May 6: Police have booked a 22-year-old youth in a rape case for making his relative pregnant at Dhara Sangla that falls under the jurisdiction of Rajouri police station.
The accused, who had gone underground, was identified as Saqir Ahmed, son of Manzoor Hussain of Dhara Sangla. The victim also belongs to Dhara Sangla. The girl stayed with her mother and Saqir, being their relative, frequently visited their house. In the absence of her mother, he allegedly developed physical relations with girl. Police said after she complained of some health problems, her mother took her to PHC, Dungi, where doctors told her that she was in 7th month of her pregnancy. The girl later told the shocked mother that Saqir had made her pregnant, sources alleged.
She then took her daughter to Rajouri SSP Rajeshwar Singh and narrated him the whole incident. On his intervention, police registered a case against the youth, a labourer by profession, and booked him under section 376 of RPC.
