Early Times Report Jammu, May 20: RET Teachers from All the districts held protest demonstration in front of Directorate of School Education Jammu. The protest was led by State President Vinod Sharma, under the banners of All J&K RET Teacher Forum to highlight the grievances of RET Teachers. While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma lambasted the state Government and the Education Department for their biased approach towards RET fraternity. He said that Regularization of RETs who has completed 5 years service is going at snail's speed as many files of regularisation are gathering dust. Their files are rejected by raising unjustified objections. Protestors highlighted their demands including Regularization of Distance mode degree holders of UGC recognised universities, Regularization of RETs with less enrolment, Regularization of KGBV Teachers and surplus Education volunteers, Streamline of SSA salary which is pending for last 5 to 7 months and arrears are also pending due to which their families are on the verge of starvation, Transfer policy in favour of Regularised ReTs as per the direction of Hon'ble High Court and Provision of SRO 43 in favour of ReTs during their 5 years initial period. Meanwhile State General Secretary Najam said that if their grievances are not resolved within 15 days, the Forum would be forced to lock their schools and go on for indefinite strike and for this extreme step the department would be personally responsible. Sukhdev Singh, Naresh Sharma, Lekh Raj Parihar, Gulzabair Daing, Sajjad Malik, Manzoor Khan, Sukesh Khajuria, Sham Sharma, Subash Chander, Balwan Singh, Mahesh Kumar, Rinku Sharma, Tahir Masood, Hamiet Wani, Reshi Singh Rana, Surjit Singh, Ravinder Singh, Shahnawaz Hussain, Ashok Seth, and others were present during the protest. |
