Jammu, May 20: keeping in view the ongoing intense heat wave conditions, the state education department today issued an order directing all the educational institutions including private schools of summer zone in Jammu region to close down from May 21-28.
The order has been issued by the Commissioner Secretary, State Education Department Shaleen Kabra.
Vide this order the state education department has advised schools to compensate the loss of working days through suitable adjustments in the vacations.
The mercury had crossed 430Celsius in Jammu, setting the record high temp of the season while according to weathermen it is expected to rise further on Monday and may touch 440Celsius. |
