JAMMU, July 24: Sehyog Committee Bari Brahmana, in a meeting held today under the chairmanship of president, Dharam Paul, decided to hold the annual volleyball tournament on Independence Day.
The two-day event shall be held at Peer Baba Stadium Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana from August 14. It was decided in the meeting to award Rs 11,000 cash prize to the winning team while runners-up side shall get Rs 8,000. Other individual prizes worth Rs 1100 have also been finalised.
Meanwhile, the Committee has invited entries from the interested clubs which shall reach the organising committee before August 12 along with prescribed fee of Rs 300.
The meeting besides others was attended by Karam Paul, Rakesh Sambyal , Uttam Sharma, Bhagwan Dass, Shashi Sharma and Girdhari Lal. |
