UDHAMPUR, July 24: In separate incidents, two persons made abortive bid to end their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at Udhampur and Chenani in Udhampur district. According to police report, Nitan Sharma, 29, son of Madan Lal of ward no 6 Slathia Chowk Udhampur consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at his residence last late night. Family members took him to District Hospital Udhampur from where doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. Meanwhile, in another incident according to police reports, Dwarka Nath,46, son of Bhagat Ram of Chenani consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. Family members took him to Sub-District Hospital Chenani from where doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
