Jammu, July 25: In view of present turmoil and prevailing circumstances in the state and as a consequence of decisions taken by the civil society members representing various social, religious and other business organizations of Jammu province held in meetings on 14,16 & 22 July, 2016. The meeting of the Forum was held under the chairmanship of Annil Suri former president Bari-Brahmana Industrial Association, wherein Gulchain Singh Charak and Abdul Majid who were elected as convener and co-convener respectively in the general council of the society on 22nd July of newly launched "All Jammu Civil Society Forum (AJCSF) nominated a working committee in which Y. V Sharma- (Former President CCI), Yash Paul Gupta (President FRAJ), S. Peter (president Christian Dalit Society Jammu), Neeraj Anand (president CTFJ) , Rajesh Gupta (President Ware House Traders Federation ), Maj. Gen Goverdhan Singh Jamwal (president J&K Ex-Services league), Amanat Ali Shah (president Anjuman-e- Imamia Jammu), G. A Khawaja D.C (Retd.)( Gen. Sec DSS), Rajiv Chuni-( chairman S.O.S), Annil Suri-( ex. president Industries Association Bari Brahamna), Amit Jandyal( president Apsara Road Traders Association), Attar Singh( president Distributors Association Raghunath Bazaar, Jammu province), Vijay Gupta( president Kanak Mandi Association Jammu), Krishan Lal Gupta(chairman Rajinder Bzr Association), Kuldip Wahi( president Bar, Restaurant and Hotel Association Jammu ), Anan Sharma( president Petroleum Tankers union Jammu), Baldev Khullar( president Raghunath Bazaar Businessman Association), H. A Siddiqui( former Add. Advocate general), Prof. M.A Wani( Educationist), Akhtar Hussain( gen.sec Gujjar Bakarwal Islahi Committee), Mohd. Aslam Qureshi(DC Retd.), Parveen Gupta( Sr. V/P CTFJ) Raman Suri (president Sarafa Association Jammu), Balwinder Singh( president Cloth Merchants Association Gali Khilonia Jammu & Treasurer CTFJ) & Om Parkash Gupta( president Jammu Heritage Society Jammu) were nominated as its members. The participants' thanked Annil Suri for convening the meeting in a most cordial manner wherein Y. V Sharma former president Chamber of Commerce and Industries Jammu dwelt in detail the aims and objectives of the Forum so launched. Forum appealed to all sections of civil Society to come forward to maintain peace and tranquility in the state in view of the prevailing circumstances. |
