jammu, July 29: High court judge Janak Raj Kotwal today issued a notice to Union of India and others and ordered that subject to objections and till the next date of hearing, the petitioner would be allowed to continue at his position, though at his own risk and costs.
The court directive came in a petition filed by Sonam Wangchuk, raising the question whether the teaching staff of Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), Choglamsar, would retire at the age of 62 or at the age of 65 after the institute having been declared as a deemed university vide the January 15, 2016 notification of the union ministry of human resource development.
Justice Kotwal, while issuing notice to the Union of India and others, ordered that subject to objections and till next date of hearing, respondent No 1 and 2 would allow the petitioner to continue at his position, though at his own risk and costs.
"Salary shall not be paid to him till further orders from this court," he ordered. (JNF)
