People protest against land grabbing, inaction of administration

jammu, July 29: People of Butta Nagar, Paloura today staged massive protest outside Janipur Police station against inaction by district administration on tightening the noose of land grabbers, who forcibly are encroaching private land in violation of court's order.
Scores of women assembled outside police station and raised slogans against the PDP-BJP government and JDA for hatching criminal conspiracy to forcibly encroach land fallen under Khasra number 512 in Buta Nagar, Paloura Jammu.
The protesters alleged that on behest of some BJP minister, district administration and police not take any action against the land grabbers, despite of numerous pleas.
"Some influential land grabbers, initially dubs as JDA people, forcibly encroached our land; we are running from pillar to post and met with divisional commissioner, deputy commissioner Jammu, Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu, they heard us but so far not action was taken against the land grabbers," said Veena Devi , one among the protesters.
She claimed that piece of land is registered as 'malkiat' with all duly certified revenue records on names of Locals and court also granted stay orders to stop construction at the site but administration failed it under the alleged influence of some BJP minister.
"Although the court has stay on the land but SHO Janipur refused to implement the stay order," she said, adding, "Entire administration only doing lip service and passing buck to each other".
The protesters demanded probe into whole episode and expose the persons who are involving in this scam and why administration not take action against the land grabbers. They also demanded security for land owners and stern action against SHO Janipur, who deliberately not implemented the court stay order four times.
Bram Raj, Samsher, Subash, Sat Pat , Omkar Kumar, Tilak Raj, Chanchla Devi, Parvesh Kumari, Ankush, Sahil, Amit, Mohit , Tahir Sheikh, Sat Pal, Ram Lal, Rajesh , Shamsher, Pushpa Devi, Sonia, Rattno Devi, and other were also present in this protest
