Early Times Report jammu, Aug 31: A cop-turned-land grabber has become the cause of nuisance at Subash Nagar where he is alleged to be throwing cocktail parties on the rooftop of a shuttering store. "He has been hosting the cocktail parties on a daily basis, causing nuisance in the area. While partying, he and the invitees use unparliamentary language in an inebriated condition, the locals fear to raise their voice against them," according to police sources. Several inquiries were alleged to have been initiated against him at different police stations here and his name was recommended for termination to the police headquarters, sources informed. However, he had somehow managed his stay in the department and got the inquiries against him stopped, sources claimed. In April 2013, he along with his brother had tried to grab the land of an Udhampur-based doctor. However, due to quick action of a senior administrative officer, his attempt was foiled and a case was registered against him at Bakshi Nagar police station. He was now alleged to be eyeing some vacant plots of genuine owners, sources alleged, saying that with the intention of grabbing them, he had been preparing fake revenue documents in connivance with his brother. The cop earlier had the backing of an IGP, but when he came to know about his unlawful acts, he started maintaining a distance from him. |
