Ganga Dashera celebrated with full enthusiasm, religious gaiety

RAJOURI, May 24: Ganga Dashera was commemorated in a big way with full enthusiasm and religious fervour at SVS Ashram here today. Every year Ganga Dashera is celebrated here at SVS Ashram in which thousands of devotees from across the country participate. The day is celebrated as a 'Nirvana Divas' of Brahmleen Shri Guru Gang Devji Maharaj under the Presidentship of His Holiness Shri Shri 1008 Rajguru Maham Mandleshwar Swami Vishwatmanand Saraswati ji Maharaj. During this religious event, 'Shrimadbhagwat Tatva Gyan Yagya Katha' was kept in Ashram. The Gyan which started on May 16 with Kailash yatra will conclude on May 25. Various incidents and aspects of Gita were depicted by various characters and detailed description was given by Shri Swami ji. Swami ji Maharaj said that the contributions of Shri Guru Gang Devji Maharaj in spreading knowledge by giving education to everyone across every nook and corner of the country cannot be compared and we are following their path.
The concluding function will start with 'Sant Sammelan' on May 25 in which large number of saints and mahamandleshwars of different Aakharas are expected to take part.
Mahant Vishnu Giriji, Aurangabad, Brahmchari Vishal Chetan, Kashi (U.P), Narayan Giriji from Maharashtra, Parshotmanand Saraswatiji from Haryana, Ramesh Giriji from U.P are some of them who will give religious sermon and also throw light on the life of Guru GangDevji Maharaj on the occasion of their "33rd Nirvana Divas".
On May 26 'Chapan Bhog' would be served followed by speeches delivered by different dignitaries from local administration and heads of different organisations.
At last, Langer would be organized in the Ashram in which approximately 500 to 600 sadus (Holyman) are expected to take Prashad.
The prominent personalities who were present on the occasion were Kuldeep Raj Gupta,Vice Chairman, State Pahari Advisory Board, Vibodh Gupta, MLC and Dr. Suresh Gupta, CMO, Rajouri.
