Jammu, Nov 12: Khalsa Cricket Club and Horizon Kings registered wins and enters in the next stage of the league round of the "7th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Club"
In today's matches Dr. Raghav Langer Chief Executive Officer was the Chief Guest while Dhruv Mahajan Former Ranji Player & Arjun Choudhary MD KC Sports Club were the Guests of honour who were introduced with the participating teams. The Chief Guest while speaking on the occasion appreciated the Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu for conducting mega cricket event for the youths of the state on the occasion of major festivals with the objective to promote communal harmony among masses through sports and while interacting with the participating players the Chief Guest and Guests of honour conveyed their best wishes to the players for their best performances in this tournament and other forthcoming matches.
Earlier in the first match Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Lakshmi Cricket Club by 3 wickets. Batting first Lakshmi Cricket Club scored 150 for 6 wickets in 20 overs game. Ateev Saini scored 69 runs , Yuvraj Saini 23 runs and Nipun made 16 runs. From bowling side Anmol, gagandeep, Harvinder Harpreet and navdeep took 1 wicket each.In reply Khalsa Club chased the target in 19.2 overs for the 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets.Neeraj with 36 runs, Navdeep 34 runs and Sukhwinder 18 runs were the main scorers. From bowling side, Pardeep Bali and Govind Manhas took 2 wickets each while Yogesh and Santbaksh took 1 wicket each. Navdeep Singh adjudged as Man of the match for his brilliant century.
In another match, Horizon Kings defeated Evershine Club by 3 wickets. Batting first Evershine scored 131 runs for the loss of 8 wickets with Sahil 34 runs, Chamkor Singh 33 runs and Balbir Singh 26 runs. From bowling Side Nishu took 3 wickets, Aditpal Singh took 2 wickets while Ashish Sing Skipper took 1 wicket. In reply Horizon Kings chased the target in 17.2 overs by losing 7 wickets thus won the match by 3 wickets. Akhil scored 44 runs and Sachin made 17 runs for the Horizon Kings. From bowling side Vicky took 2 wickets, While Narinder, Baba and Sunny took 1 wicket each. Akhil was adjudged as Man of the Match for his alround performance.
The matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Sanju and Ajay. Tomm fixture : Kashmir Happeinings XI and K.C, Academy at 9.oo am, K.C.C.C. and Saffron Cricket Club at 1.00 pm informed by Rajesh Gill.
