|Kashmir braces up for widespread rain, snowfall|
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 12: The Kashmir valley is all set to receive fresh spell of rains and snowfall.
The Meteorological Department has predicted widespread rain and snow in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. "Light snow was likely in the state's higher reaches while the plains would receive rain during the next 48 hours," said Sonam Lotus, director of the regional MET department. The forecast suggests that this will continue for next three days.
Owing to the forecast, the minimum temperatures have improved while day temperatures are likely to fall further. The MeT has reported that the minimum temperature was 2.6 in Srinagar while it was 1.1 and minus 3.4 in Pahalgam and Gulmarg, respectively.
