Police destroys poppy cultivation, registers no Fir | | | Early Times Report POONCH, May 21: Police has reportedly destroyed poppy cultivartion in Surankote but failed to lodge an FIR against the owner of Land probably being an influential and close relative of ASI posted at Police station Surankote , sources said here today. They said police has to register and FIR against the land owner who owes the responsibility of the cultivation of contraband and when police detsroyes it therefore it becomes mandatory to register FIR against the land owner and NDPS act , sources added. On May 20 , apolice press not was uploaded in Social media by recently created group namely Police media interaction by district Police Poonch stating that police has destroyed cultivation of Poppy in field in sangla Village of Surankote . In Pressnote police has left no stone unturned to pat its back yet failed to odge FIR because the owner of the land was said to be an influential and close relative of a police officer posted at Police station Surankote . Peeople have expressed grave concern over the act of police and have urged the higher authorities that law is same for each and every person so action under law be initiated gainst the land owner besides police officer who tries to rescue him b question for his pathetic approach , they added while talking to Early Times. |
