Parties celebrate Omar's release, forget to condemn Kabul attack
3/25/2020 11:16:18 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 25: Busy in “celebrating” release of former chief minister Omar Abdullah from detention, leaders of NC, Congress and PDP could not muster guts to condemned gruesome attack on devotees at a Gurdwara in Afganistan in which 25 innocent persons have lost their lives.
Within minutes after Omar Abdullah’s detention under Public Safety Act (PSA) was revoked on Tuesday, Congress, PDP and NC leaders issued a number of press notes to hail this decision of the government. For the last 24 hours there is competition among leaders of these parties to welcome release of Omar Abdullah but none of these leaders have issue any handout to condemned attack on devotees in Gurdwara.
Even after heinous attack on devotees in Gurdwara, some Congress and NC leaders issued press note today to welcome release of Omar Abdullah but these leaders could not spare time to condemn Kabul terror attack.
Twenty-five people were killed after terrorists opened fire at a Gurdwara in Afghanistan's capital Kabul, the local media has reported. The terror group ISIS has claimed the attack.
“There are about 150 people inside the Gurdwara. Families are living there and they usually gather to offer prayers in the mornings,” said Anarkali Kaur Honaryar, a Sikh member of the Afghan parliament.
“Suicide attack on a Gurudwara Sahib in Kabul needs to be strongly condemned. These killings are a grim reminder of atrocities that continue to be inflicted upon religious minorities in some countries and the urgency with which their lives & religious freedom have to be safeguarded,” Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted.
