Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 18: Notwithstanding assurances of a free and fair probe in copying scam involving former Education Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed's foster son, the report submitted by the Crime branch has not been made public till date. Reports suggest that former IGP Crime Branch Raja Aijaz Ali submitted the report to the Chief Minister in the winter capital early this year. The report indicted six Board of School Education (BOSE) officials including the incumbent Chairman, Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmad, former Deputy Director Academics, Mehraj-ud-Din Zargar and four others for helping the Minister's son. Informed sources in the CB said that the investigation revealed the Minister had misused his official position to help his son pass the matriculation examination in 2009. "Most of the BOSE officials during questioning revealed that there were directions from higher-ups to facilitate copying of Minister's son," the report says. Sumit Sharma JAMMU, Nov 18: A day after the explosion outside Munish Wine Shop at Narwal Bala, Police today swung into action and lifted about 16 suspects including a surrendered militant from Bathindi area for interrogation. Police sources said that a list of history sheeters and surrendered militants was prepared and accordingly some suspects were lifted for interrogation. Police is also scrutinizing the call details of the lifted suspects to reach on some conclusion.
