Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: Out of a total of 33 accused involved in the Police Sub-Inspector recruitment scam 20 have been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) till date. Shockingly most of the accused are personnel from the belt forces. On Thursday sleuths of CBI have arrested seven more accused including a head constable and three constables of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Pawan Kumar, Head Constable, CRPF, Amit Kumar Sharma, Constable, CRPF, Atul Kumar, Constable, CRPF and Sunil Sharma, Constable/Cook, CRPF were arrested on Thursday by CRPF. On Monday one Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of J&K Police Ashok Kumar, then posted at Jammu city's Nowabad Police Station as Munshi and presently at Kanachak Police Station, a resident of Chodraywalla, Pallanwalla and Surinder Kumar, a constable of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) posted at Chatha near Satwari, a resident of Rewari in Haryana, were among the four persons arrested for their involvement in the scam. Agencies New Delhi, Nov 10: The CBI has arrested seven more people, including some police personnel, in connection with the alleged manipulation of recruitment process for sub-inspectors in Jammu and Kashmir Police, officials said Thursday. They said the arrests were made after these suspects were questioned in Jammu, they said. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had conducted searches on Tuesday at seven locations in Jammu, Pathankot, Rewari and Karnal in connection with the recruitment scam. Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: Authorities in J&K's Shopian district on Thursday banned the entry and usage of nine properties belonging to the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) organization following a communication from the state investigation agency (SIA). SIA identified the maximum Jamat penetration in Shopian and submitted evidence before the District Magistrate of Shopian to expel JeI from entering or using these nine properties under section 8 of UAPA. Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 10: Security forces have busted a militant funding and recruitment module of the Tehreek-e-ul Mujahideen in north Kashmir by arresting six members of the group, police said on Thursday.
