Brother duo denied justice by Revenue officials for want of money

R S Pura | Mar 27 Corruption is rampant in the revenue office of RS Pura Tehsil where justice is being denied to the poor and even the officials sitting at helm of affairs demanding bribe money from the people for their settlement of their cases. Mohan Lal and Raj Kumar a brother duo of village Salehar, RS Pura are also the victim of this corruption ridden office. The duo is struggling for the last many years for the restoration and possession of their own land which was illegally occupied by some people. But the concerned officials in the Tehsil office were deliberately not giving the possession of the land to them due to some ulterior motives. It is to mention that they had purchased land measuring seven kanals and 16 marlas situated at village Salehar in the year 1998 and got it registered on their names. Later on, two persons Munshi Ram, son of Chhaju Ram of the same village and Gurdas Chand, son of Dhana Ram of Gandli, R S Pura illegally occupied the land measuring one kanal and 19 marlas out of the said piece of land. Leh Mar 27 District Magistrate Leh has initiated an inquiry into the death of an Army who was found hanging in police Lockup in suspicious circumstances yesterday Informed sources said that the inquest has been initiated under176 Cr PC into the death of an Army personal in police custody. The Army jawan was arrested by police on Mar 25 when a Police patrolling party found him laying in intoxicated condition. Jammu, March 27 The ongoing debate over the issue of reduction in the level of troops is receiving mixed set of responses from people in two different regions in the state forcing political parties to recast their poll strategy in order to gain political mileage in the next assembly elections. While majority of people in the Kashmir valley support the demand for reduction of troops and repeal of AFSPA those in the Jammu and Ladakh regions oppose it. NEW DELHI, MAR 27 Intelligence Bureau (IB) is understood to have put the government on alert against a "new and serious" threat in Jammu and Kashmir from the subtle tie-up between the two outlawed terrorist organisations--Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). If recent radio intercepts were any guide, the Khalistan Zindabad Force continues to have close links with Pakistan's ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence).
