16 Injured in Bomb Blast near BJP Office in Bangalore

BANGALORE: In a terror strike, at least 16 people, including 11 policemen, were injured today in a bomb blast apparently targeting the Karnataka BJP city office buzzing with activity ahead of the May five Assembly polls. The "incendiary bomb" planted in a motorbike parked between a van and a car went off around 10.30 AM, causing injuries to policemen on security duty as part of the bandobast arrangements for the polls. Five civilians, including three women, were also injured in the blast, which was described as a "clear act of terror" by Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister R Ashok, saying it was targeted at the party workers and its leaders. "It is a very clear act of terror... It is targeted at the BJP, our senior leaders and workers", Ashoka said. "100 per cent, it is targeted at BJP workers". He said the injured persons were "out of danger." The window panes of some buildings were shattered under the impact of the blast with a loud noise heard a long distance away, according to police and eyewitnesses. Bangalore blast: Registration details of motorcycle, SIM card recovered

Bangalore: Karnataka Home Minister R Ashok on Wednesday said that a mobile SIM card and details of the registration of the motorcycle found at the Bangalore blast site had been recovered. The minister again ruled out any political rivalry and said that the blast was purely a terror attack. Meanwhile, a civil defence team will be doing a reccee of the Mantri mall in Malleshwaram as well as the railway station as a precautionary measure, sources said. JAMMU: High Court (HC)of Jammu and Kashmir and Sub-ordinate courts shall function for the summer session 2013 from 1st May, 2013. It has been notified that High Court Wing Srinagar shall function from 10 am to 5 p m while High Court Wing Jammu shall function from 8 a m to 2 p m. Regarding court hours it is informed that High Court Wing Srinagar would function from 10.30 a m to 1 p m and 2 p m to 4.30 p m while High Court Wing Jammu would also function from 8.30 a m to 10.30 am and 11 a m to 1.30 p m.
