NC-BJP war of words
5/1/2023 11:08:56 PM
Early Times REPORT Srinagar, May 1: In a sudden war of words, while the Bharatiya Janta Party accused the “dynasts” of putting Jammu and Kashmir to stone-age during their tenures, the National Conference, President, Dr Farooq Abdullah and his successor, Omar Abdullah cornered the right wing party asking why no G20 event was being held in Jammu. “The tragedy is they(Centre) have avoided Jammu. Why is it only held in Ladakh? Why is it held in Kashmir? Why not Jammu? I’m surprised not a single BJP leader of Jammu…is speaking about why the G20 did not occur in Jammu?” Member Parliament and former Chief Minister Dr Abdullah told reporters. His successor and senior party leader, Omar Abdullah only joined his father to corner the BJP even further. “Things are a mess in Srinagar because of this G-20 tamasha. The actual meeting will probably see most areas locked down & people stuck in their homes. Perhaps the BJP is being sensible sparing the people of Jammu the pain we are suffering here in the valley. The G20 has only punished the residents of Srinagar,” Omar said on his social media...
