Early Times Report Jammu, June 28: In a petition filed by Dr. Rehmatullah Vice President Ruling National Conference Doda seeking investigation from primer investigating agency Vigilance Organization or Crime Branch regarding the alleged allegations of misappropriation Rs 94, 56, 493/- in Doda Municipality as he was lodged the FIR at Police Station Doda which was registered on July 9, 2012 but after lapse of about one year except collection of records nothing was done and seeking the transfer of case from Doda Police to VOJ or Crime Branch. Justice AM Magrey after hearing Adv SS Ahmed appearing for the petitioners issued notice to respondents returnable within two weeks and in the meanwhile Court directed SSP Doda to submit the status report regarding progress of investigation in FIR NO 153/2012 and he shall also monitor the investigation in the case and ensure that investigation is complete within a period of one month henceforth. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 28: External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid today said Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) was needed in Jammu and Kashmir to protect the lives of soldiers as they are the ones who defend the country. “This case is not to be decided by me. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, June 29: The annual Amarnath Yatra began today amid tight security, with pilgrims from both Baltal and Pahalgam base camps starting their journey for the 3880-metre-high cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas. Amidst chants of 'Bam Bam Bole', the first batch of pilgrims started on the arduous 45-km trek from traditional Pahalgam route, and 13-km from Baltal simultaneously, in the wee hours today, official sources said.
