| Pilgrim killed, 7 injured | | | |
SRINAGAR: A pilgrim was killed and seven others were injured in early hours on Tuesday due to shooting stones near the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas.
The injured will be taken to Srinagar later, officials said here.
The pilgrimage was suspended for several hours due to inclement weather yesterday but resumed after conditions improved. About 4,500 pilgrims have left the base camps of Nunwan and Baltal yesterday for the 3,880 metre high cave shrine.

A huge explosion was heard outside the Lal Masjid in the Pakistani capital as security forces and radical Islamists of the mosque clashed.

A government spokesman alleged that the firing started after several madrassa students tried to barge into a building where the Rangers were lodged.

SRINAGAR, JULY 3- Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) has airlifted two critically injured pilgrims from the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar for specialized treatment.
One person was killed and seven others were injured, two of them seriously, due to shooting stones- 700 meters away from the Cave Shrine last night, according to Director Public Relations, SASB, Mr Madan Mantoo.
